When compared to the alternative of using aluminum foil, HoloPRISM® and VACU-BRITE® metallized papers offer several sustainability advantages:
- The manufacturing process specific to metallized paper products inherently utilizes a fraction of the energy required to manufacture aluminum foil based products.
- Significant Source Reduction: Upwards of 700 times less aluminum required!
- Recyclability and Waste Reduction: Can be re-pulped either as a stand-alone product or when combined with other paper-based materials in a lamination.
The base papers utilized for HoloPRISM® and VACU-BRITE® products come from suppliers committed to sustainable forestry practices. These papers are also free of both ozone-depleting chemicals and heavy metals.
